About Bryon

This blog is authored by Bryon Eagon, a University of Wisconsin graduate and former Alder from the 8th district on the City of Madison Common Council. At UW, Bryon double-majored in Political Science and Communication Arts and was elected to the Council in April of 2009.  Before he was elected, Bryon served as the Wisconsin State Coordinator of Students for Barack Obama and the Deputy Youth Vote Director of the Wisconsin Campaign for Change.

Bryon has been active in numerous campaigns and service projects including spending a summer teaching high school business courses in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya through AIESEC. He enjoys spending time at the Memorial Union Terrace and exploring the many great bike trails throughout Madison and Dane County.

Starting in June 2011, Bryon will join Teach for America as part of the 2011 Corps in New York City.
